Hi! I’m Ayo Adams
A dedicated media professional with a passion for creativity, social justice, and cultural advocacy, my journey in the Nigerian media landscape has been shaped by an inventive spirit, an industrious approach, and a deep commitment to addressing socio-cultural issues through the arts, filmmaking, and social media.
Over the past year, I have taken great pride in spearheading a series of compelling documentary films aimed at fostering cultural rejuvenation across Nigeria. My academic background in theatre and media arts has been instrumental in shaping my creative vision. A milestone in my career was translating William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet into Yorùbá, which premiered on stage in Ibadan in 2021.
In 2023, I had the honor of becoming the first multimedia storyteller to document the Ubumuntu Arts Festival in Kigali, Rwanda—Africa’s largest performance art festival for social good. This experience further cemented my dedication to leveraging the arts as a platform for societal transformation.
Previously, as the lead digital producer at Yes FM Ibadan, I contributed significantly to the media landscape, combining creativity, cultural awareness, and social responsibility in every project. I am driven by the belief that storytelling, in its many forms, can inspire change and foster a deeper understanding of our shared humanity.
